Book a free 15 minute initial consultation today.

A free 15 minute consultation is a great way to meet your therapist face to face. You can ask questions about your therapist's experience, skill sets and training. You can ask questions about what to expect during an appointment or about scheduling. Your therapist might ask some questions about the challenges you would like to address and if you have any specific goals you'd like to work on in therapy.

You are welcome to book a consultation with more than one therapist if you are unsure who will be the right fit for you. And whoever you meet with at 3 Rivers Counselling will be happy to let you know if other therapist's on our team have capacity to accept new referrals as well.

Counselling therapy or psychotherapy usually involves examining and gaining insight into behaviours, emotions and difficulties faced by individuals, couples, or families. Therapy sessions refer to structured meetings between a licensed provider and a client with a goal of improving some aspect of their life. Psychotherapy encompasses many types of treatment and is practiced by a range of clinicians using a variety of strategies. The critical aspect is that the client or patient works collaboratively with the therapist and can identify improvement and positive change over time.

"We want you to leave your appointment feeling heard, noticing a shift in your nervous system, and feeling empowered with some hands on strategies you can explore between appointments"
